So I was @ the BM monthly fire hootennanny and I was looking around at the people spinning their various fire toys, and I notice this one woman who's quite in shape (tone body) spinning away. I'm thinking to myself "I'll never win, won't I?" It was sort of the same intimidating feeling about seeing some women in nothing but a thong and stilletto heels spinning poi @ BRC. Not only did she have that "WOW" appeal, but she was pretty good poi-spinner, to boot.
I really don't know how good I am at this, to be honest, maybe someone needs to videotape me so I can find out for sure.
So I light up and do my thing, being sort of cautious not to boink my chest ;). So I wasn't going "full-auto." When I was done, she came up to me and said "That was an awesome job you did, quite inspiring." With a smile.
I have no idea how to take that, I keep wondering if it was one of those veiled insults, the kind Dennis Miller tells you right to your face and you don't even know if you're being dissed.
"I'll never win, won't I?"
