What have I done lately?
Dec. 31st, 2006 09:52 pmWent Ice Skating a few days ago, it was during the evening that the gale force winds were abound. I thought this would keep people away. HA! nothing like 200 little fuckers zipping around on an ice rink made for a 100 people with bad awful music and 40+ mph winds...but it was still fun. Me and
chicafangs skating together...silly and romantic, what can I say?
It helped we drank some Irish Coffee's afterwards.
It's been nice relaxing with this week off. I've been gathering gear for snowboarding (got boots..need to order everything else) and I'm looking forward to having an offer when I get back to work (I hope..pretty sure...won't say it's true until papers are in hand) That's been the one nice thing about the end of this year; getting my career back on track after it got de-railed two years ago. It's been rough, and I'm not completely back to where I was, but I'm in a much better place.
I learned that it's ok to take risks, trust you instincts, talk back to people who are supposed to be my boss when I don't think they're doing what they ought to be doing (old job, good experiences, but sadly lacked that "pull the trigger" moxie), and other shi-shi-fou-fou self-esteem bullshit we've all heard at some point.
2006, was good for me. Should have been my 2005, but it's ok. I feel reloaded, I think I got a few targets in sight, now it's time to go execute with extreme prejudice. I can't wait for 2007 to show up and start kickin' some more ass.
I wish all of you out there an A Big Boot for all of you to do your own Ass-Whoopin' in 2007.
Time to get changed, grab the magnum, and go whoop it up.
