Mo' Leipzig scheiß-zzo
Jan. 27th, 2004 04:42 pm(I'm trying to Snoop Dogg-iffy some German there. I know, stupid.)
Travelocity can suck a donkey knob.
Expedia offers a flight for $1188 to Leipzig from SFO. It has 2 stopovers, London & Frankfurt.
Now, a flight with only 1 stopover costs $1436. The difference is only $248.
What do you guys think? I'm guesti-mating my hotel costs will be around $300 for the entire time. (There are campgrounds nearby I could rough it in for the event, but, um, err, no. Dieses ist nicht Burning Man!)
If you were me, would you or wouldn't you go hopscotch-ity towards your final destination?
On
rezendi's advice, I tooled around Easyjet and going from London to Altenburg, but the flight is in the morning so I would have to spend a day in London going to and from Germany. $560 to London. $77 x 2 for my nights in London @ the Regency Palace (which looks like a 2 star...I shudder at what that means in London.)
Hmm... $800...+ $300 in Germany...that is a saving...
Maybe I should make a real adventure out of it, go to Oslo afterwards and crash @
dichroicynosure's place. Don't worry, I'll cook. :)
