Reports of Sodomy of Iraqi boys @ Abu Ghraib.
Whoever is responsible needs to be punished. In my mind, this also means leaders up the chain of command. I'm sure that won't happen of course. It's sad what people will do when forced into certain conditions. I bet most of those soldiers are straight as an iron arrow and anal sex with another male, let alone a child, is probably the last thing on any of their minds, if at all. I wonder if the military has done a study on the various psycholgical reactions to sustained ground warfare, and sexual behavior abnormal as compared to a soldier's usual sexual regimen (the people who did the acts may turn out to be child molestors, who knows) was one of the possibilities that arose and they have already planned for such behavior to occur and there are public relations and soldier-behavioral counter-measures to deal with these incidents.
They expected their soldiers to rape their prisoners: that's scary.
What would scare me more if this sort of behavior were approved from Ridge, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, or Bush. If not directly, then they might have been agreed upon in a vague manner, a la Patriot Games (sorry about the Clancy reference, I can't come up with anything better this morning.)
