lemasquegrisThat said, you can't not give props (yes dbl friggin' negative, I know!) to someone playing with a bad ankle injury. Plus, playing 'till you bleed is Just Right for the Hollidays™ I can see coaches of Little League, JV and Varsity teams making reference to Curt Schilling's Bleedin' socks for years to come.
But for me, I take a little more pride in this story: Colombia has only ever had 7 natives play in the Major Leagues. Currently there are 2. Both are playing shorstop. One plays for the Red Sox, the other for the Cardinals.
Not bad for a little country of Coffee, Coca, and Emeralds. :)
