Thus Alaska comes back from the brink of politically completely batshit crazy and repositions itself as merely politically fucked-up once again.

That is a huge relief! And one more step forward. Will Georgia, and (is it?) Minnesota be so kind?

And is it wrong of me to hope that this is another chance for the Palin monster/idiot to disappear again into political obscurity? Or do you think "you can't take 'em back to Barrow once they've seen the big city?"

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Minnesota - I really hope Al Franken gets in.

However, I want Palin to stick to the Republicans like a leech! They need a Ralph Nader of their very own...

She's and Barr are both Naders of the Republican party...if you remember, Bob Barr went independent and was also on the Presidential ticket...balancing the odds. As long as she orbits the Republican party, she keeps making them look bad and should help keep the Right out of office for at least through the next two elections.

Hilary in 2012 or 2016?

That puts us up to 58...just two more to go...the recount in Minnesota that is likely to put Franken ahead and the run off in December in Georgia that could also give us the magical 60 seats.

Talk about giving it to the Republicans hard...
